"We Belong" by Over Under Textiles

Made from vintage canvas, this one-of-a-kind piece brings all the charm—and a line worth keeping around. The perfectly worn fabric (wrinkles, raw edges, and those original grommets we love) sets the stage for its bold, hand-applied message: “We Belong to Each Other.”

About the artist

Austin-based artist Laurie Sobocinski has always loved fabrics and thrifting, and she brings that passion into her work by using as many upcycled textiles as possible. From wool suits to denim and corduroy jeans, she is always searching for new materials to repurpose. The canvas for her current pieces once served as US mailbags — carriers of countless letters in their past life. Today, they carry bold word art that expresses fun and meaningful phrases.
